Founded in September 1991, the Dubuque Area Swimmin' Hurricanes aimed to establish a year round competitive swimming program available to all youngsters in the greater Dubuque area. Each swimmer is provided a safe environment where they are encouraged to progress to the highest level of their ability through their personal commitment, qualified coaches, parental support and community involvement. 

SWIM TEAM

Registration for Spring/Summer Season 2024 coming soon. Gold and Silver swimmers begin training on March 18th, and all other returning swimmers begin training on March 25th. 

New swimmer level evaluation and registration will be March 19 & 20 from 6p - 7p, IN PERSON at Dubuque Community Schools Aquatic Center located at Hempstead High School. Swimmers will be evaluated for skill and group placement, if appropriate, and parents/guardians will receive information and have the opportunity to register. Free trial for NEW swimmers is March 25 - April 7, 2024.

Spring Swim Lessons 2024

Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday

Session 1: March 18 - April 4 (MW or TuTh for 3 wks)

Session 2: April 15 - May 2 (MW or TuTh for 3 wks)

Session 3: May 13 - 22 (MTuW for 2 weeks)

Sundays: April 7 - May 12
